You will rarely ever see a Sphinx alone

If I'm correct there should be at least one other Sphinx buried in the sand of Giza. Approx South-Southwest of the Great Sphinx

Though there may/might be more at a site like Giza

Even the tablet on the chest of the Great Sphinx depicts 2 Sphinx. Not one

Because historically you will almost never, if never, see Sphinx guarding something in any less than a pair
